REVEAL DATE IS HERE!!!

Today is the big reveal for the 8th Annual Bead Soup Blog Hop Party.  As usual, my day has been bothered with camera problems and computer problems but at last I can post my reveals.  My partner was Ann Rishell of mycriticaleye.com.  Ann has been busy working on her Masters thesis in Design during this blog hop.  This is what I sent her.
She sent me a wonderful collection of shell beads, carnelian chips, some seed beads, a wonderful coffee ceramic focal, ribbon, some pearls and disc beads, adventurine rounds, acrylic beads and many other items. This is what she sent me.
I got busy and created several different pieces.  The first thing I created was the piece using my focal.  I had a hard time decided how do use the focal.  I was stuck for awhile.  I finally decided to do a peyote rope.  I call it "Do You Want Your Coffee Light, Medium or Dark".  This is what I created using the focal.
Next, my lovely partner had sent me some lovely triangle beads and since I wear a lot of black, I wanted to create a simple necklace that I could wear with my black.  This is the result of what I created with those beads.  I used the clasp my partner sent me on this necklace.

Then I needed to create something with the carnelian chips that I received in my package.  The first thing I created was a bracelet using seed beads, the chips and two different colors of amber and some other fire polished beads and other chips that I had on hand.  This is the result.  I call it my Hot Summer bracelet.
Then I created a necklace using the same technique only using the carnelian, some lucite flowers and leaves and other beads and then I adorned it with the orange ribbon that my partner included.

Then I decided to make a necklace for spring/summer using some of the seed beads my partner sent me along with the pearls.  I used tubular herringbone and then embellished it with fringe and the pearls.  I call it "My Garden Path" necklace.
I also used some of the green ribbon my partner sent me as closure for the necklace.
Ann had sent me some lightweight acrylic beads that I thought would be perfect for earrings so I fringed them and made two pairs.  This first used some of the blue seed beads Ann sent me and the second pair I made could be worn with the other pieces I made from my soup.

Last but not least, I wanted some beach themed necklaces for summer so I made three different necklaces using some of the shell beads my partner sent me.  One used memory wire to which I still need to add some chain and a clasp and the other two used some shell daggers I had in my stash along with the different shell beads my partner sent to me.

As you can see, I had a prolific soup and still have three other projects in process which I could not get done in time for the reveal.

A great big thanks goes to Lori Anderson who hosted this bead soup party in spite of all her health problems.  Thank you Lori for all you do for the beading community.  Also a thanks goes to my lovely partner.

Be sure to see all the other creations.  You can access the complete list here.

The Signups for the 8th Bead Soup Blog Party Are Here

I am so excited that Lori Anderson is hosting the 8th Annual Bead Soup Blog Party.  The signups are one day only and then comes the anticipation of a new partner and a new swap of beads.  I have participated in three Bead Soup Blog Parties and I cannot wait for my fourth.  All of my previous partners were great and we had great fun getting to know one another and it has been such a challenge to create something new and different from each soup that was given to me.  I can't wait to get started on the new one.

Bead Hoarders Blog Hop

I have to apologize that my creations are not posted yet.  Unfortunately, one of my horses had a severe case of colic this past week and had to be treated both at home and at the vets and after several days of very little sleep, I am totally behind on finishing and photographing my pieces.  Please check back next weekend and they will be there.
